Cursed

In the light of Your presence, I am in awe,
You created me from a fleeting flame.
When the command came, to bow to Adam,
My heart whispered, I bow only to You in silence.
My prostration is only for You, O Lord,
I shall not bow my head to any other.
Though I fall into the darkness of sin,
In my heart, only You I truly know.
I gaze upon Adam, created from the earth,
Yet this feeling, I cannot contain.
You are the Most Pure, unmatched by anything,
Only to You, my prostration belongs.
Arrogance consumes me, I embrace my pride,
But deep within my heart, only You I seek.
In this defiance, there lies hidden fear,
That I have turned away from Your sacred command.
Now cast away, in eternal damnation,
Yet one truth, I can never deny.
My love for You, though my path is astray,
Only for You, my prostration remains unshaken.
Only to You, I bow and obey,
I shall not bow to any other, O Divine.
But pride has veiled the light,
I’ve fallen into the depths of darkness.
Now cast away, in everlasting curse,
False loyalty, ends here with remorse.
The sin of pride has led me far,
Yet still I confess, only You I hold dear.
In the darkness, I come to realize,
My obedience was just an ego in disguise.
I defied Your command, only to prove,
That I am the devil, fallen in pride’s groove.
