Earth Beneath Our Feet

[Intro – bendir, distant ney flute, kick and bass enter gradually]
Mmm…

[Verse 1 – soft female lead]
Soft sand slips between my toes,
the sea turns gold as daylight goes.
You reach for me, I take your hand,
we trace a circle in the sand.

[Chorus – female lead, warm Italo synths and octave bass]
Earth beneath our feet,
the wind will show the way.
We’re dancing where the water
holds the last light of the day.

[Instrumental drop – 16 bars, ney hook, oud and darbuka]

[Verse 2 – soft female lead]
The tide rolls in, the air grows cool,
the moon slips into every pool.
The waves can take the steps we drew,
I’ll learn the next ones here with you.

[Chorus – female lead, warm Italo synths and octave bass]
Earth beneath our feet,
the wind will show the way.
We’re dancing where the water
holds the last light of the day.

[Instrumental break – echo on “day”, reverse flute swell, one-beat pause]
[Final instrumental drop – 24 bars, ney hook and layered hand drums]
[Outro – bendir and fading ney]
