Little Adolf had a garden, oh so neat and green,
Planted pretty flowers where the sun could be seen.
But the bugs came creeping, nibbling leaf and stem,
So he called his friend Fritz Haber, "Fix this pesky problem!"

Ziggy-ziggy zapp! Fritz brought his magic spray,
Made the bugs all vanish, brightened Adolf's day!
But the butterflies got dizzy, and the bees went away,

Little Josef loved his dolly, stitching arms just right,
Made her taller, made her smaller, morning, noon, and night.
"Fix her crooked leg!" he cried, with needle and with thread,
But his stitches hurt poor Dolly, made her wish for bed!

Stitchy-stitch sew! Josef tried his special glue,
Dolly's legs were different—one was old, one new!
The teddy bears all trembled, and the rag dolls too,

Oh, the garden’s full of poison where the butterflies once flew,
And poor Dolly’s sitting crooked, feeling sad and blue.
