A rascal beyond belief.
Everything round,
I just love what I’ve found!
I am the Egg Thief,
A clever little chief.
I steal an egg,
Crack it—no dread,
No police to fear ahead!
Down at the cluck-cluck farm,
No one sounds the alarm.
The nests are bare—
Where are the eggs? Nowhere!
They search through straw and moss,
But oh, it’s such a loss!
No eggs in sight,
Yet much delight!
I am the Egg Thief,

Crack it—no dread!
Now Easter Bunny’s near,
Hiding eggs with cheer!
Colorful treasures—oh, what a thrill!
I sneak behind his back,
Then launch my sneak attack!
What he hides—I take at will!
And then—oh, joy!
The biggest egg, oh boy!
It blinks, it honks—it makes some noise!
I smash it in a snap,
But oh—what a trap!
That egg belonged to the police boys!
Lalüü, lalüü, loo lalüü—
Now I sit behind a door,
And ask myself, what for?
I’ve changed, I swear—no crime, no more!
Then comes a gift—oh my,
A breakfast egg, served high!
I crack it fast and gulp it dry.

A rascal turned good, you see.
Everything round,
Still brings me glee!

I crack my egg—just one, not two,
And no police come chasing through!
