In shadows deep

In Christ alone, my worth and joy are found,
A broken life, in Him is wholly crowned.
Despising self, in guilt I drown each day,
A storm within, my heart a restless sea.
Yet when I kneel, in silence start to pray,
Your light breaks forth, and I am made to see.
In Christ, my past is washed away,
A new creation, I am called to be.
My identity, in Him I now embrace,
In Your great love, I find my resting place.
No longer bound by chains of sin and grief,
Your mercy flows, a river deep and wide.
In Christ, my soul has found its sweet relief,
In Him alone, my fears and doubts subside.
My heart restored, my spirit finds belief,
With You, O Lord, I now walk side by side.
In Christ, my worth, my life is redefined,
In Your embrace, my true self I find."
