Styl muzyki
18th-century sacred chamber music, dolorous and mysterious, slow measured pulse, minor-mode suspensions and mournful descending phrases; begin with a lone low cello and restrained organ, then gradually add bowed strings and a soft continuo, building into a female Gregorian-style wordless humming choir in close, solemn harmonies; archaic modal chant character, intimate reverberant stone-chapel acoustics, dark restrained dynamics, a gradual emotional swell and unresolved, fading close
