There are days when I travel far,
Searching for a lullaby amidst the weary world.
Hearing life like a late rain,
Falling into life as fragile drops.
I only then realize my heart is full of entanglements,
Only one thing I dare not let go of.

Then one afternoon, the wind passed so gently,
Seeing my shadow leaning down the steps of the monastery.
Hearing the sound of the wooden bell like a breath,
Shaking off the dust of the world little by little in my heart.
I only then understand that everything will eventually be lost,
Only the heart remains with emptiness.

So I ask to return to take refuge in the Buddha’s shadow,
Like a dewdrop seeking the last rays of morning sun.
Leaving behind all the hardships and worries,
Keeping this heart in vast tranquility.
Even though the world changes every minute,
I still return, still remain in Him.
