I remember the days when I was small, with my brothers giving it their all. On the mountain’s slopes, I knew every trail, many years have passed, but the memories prevail. So many thoughts run through my mind, of people I knew, now left behind. And here I stand, 'cause God willed it so, still searching for the reason He let me go. Why it wasn’t my time to fall, I’m certain now I have a call, there’s someone out there I’m meant to save, a purpose for the life He gave. And when I die, I want to rest, beside my parents and brother in the mountain's crest. Let no tears fall for me that day, I’ve walked this life in my own way. Few listened when I needed most, so here’s a hug to my niece, my light and host. She always knew the pain I hide, the wounds that linger deep inside.
