Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning begins as a solitary and stern figure, struggling against the fate imposed upon her by the fal'Cie (divine beings) who transformed her and her allies into l'Cie, forcing them to fulfill a mission or become monsters. Her primary motivation is to save her younger sister, Serah.
