Seek His Face

Blow the trumpet, sound the call
Turn to Him with heart and all
Rend your hearts, not just your clothes
Return to mercy no one knows
He is gracious, slow to flame
Great in love, exalt His name

Seek His face, rise from the dust
Turn to the Lord, in Him we trust
Lift up your soul, bow low and pray
He will hear, He won’t delay
Seek His face, O trembling clay
He is near to those who stay

Is not this the fast He wills
To break the yoke, to right the ills
To feed the hungry, house the poor
To shut oppression’s cruel door
Then your light shall break like dawn
And His strength will lead you on

Seek His face, rise from the dust

Tear down pride and make Him room

He is near, don’t turn away

One thing I ask, one thing I seek
To dwell with You, O God so meek
To see Your beauty, know Your grace
Forever, Lord, I’ll seek Your face
