I wake up everyday, hoping it’s not the same
The same as yesterday, as anything changed
We follow all the rules, we put up with stupid fools
When the day comes to an end
And tomorrow we’ll do it again
When everyday I wonder just why I chose to stay
When life is just so pointless, gets worse here everyday
And every night I leave this place I’ve never known
This place I’ve come to call — the district of broken hope
It feels so safe in here, away from all this fear
Where I can lay my head, and reflect on what I’ve said
I stare up at the dark, I’m hoping to embark
To a place where we chose to pray
So we won’t have to stay
