Solo piano, close and intimate. Slow, spacious left-hand arpeggios with a plaintive, singing right-hand melody. Dynamics swell gently into the emotional peaks, then pull back to almost a whisper. Occasional suspended chords and lingering pedal create a hazy, reflective atmosphere, like a late-night confessional.
