Shakuhachi on the Thames

Slow-burning vintage psych-rock in the vein of classic British prog; roomy live band feel with male-voice-style Shakuhachi taking the top line. Intro swells of organ and tremolo guitar, then a lazy drum groove and round, singing bass. Shakuhachi handles the “vocal” melodies with echo-drenched phrasing; guitars add warped tape bends, reverse swells, and reverb-soaked chords. Middle section drifts into a spacious, delay-heavy jam before a final, cathartic reprise of the main theme.
