emptyness

1. chapter:
Everyone looks for something that makes them happy, so happy
even just for a moment.
When the euphoria is over, you feel empty, so empty,
without power.
And so you look around for new emotions, strong emotions,
so you won’t feel lower.
What you know no longer gives sensations, sensations
afterwards, only boredom.

refrain:
There is a huge hole, a void, where life used to be!
You say that only faith in God can fill that void, but I am too rational to believe blindly.
For many, holding on to a faith is survival, but surviving is not living!
And so I keep on searching, exploring and I hope to never lose my doubts.

2. chapter:
The rush of the moment drives you crazy, so crazy
for as long as it lasts
And tomorrow you wake up again alone with yourself, so lonely,
smoke around you.

refrain:
No, it can't be all there, there must be more. It looked like a fire, but it was just a cigarette...
I feel like a leaf in a storm, dragged here and there, I lost the control !
Perhaps the time has come for me to take responsibility and take the helm firmly in my hands.
The only space-time dimension where I can change something is here and now!!!
