LORD, HAVE MERCY. SET ME FREE

Ato 1 [Intro]
[Foot stomping and hand clapping]
[Spoken Word - Crowd Interaction]
Come on everybody, clap your hands with me tonight! Let me hear you!
[Crowd cheering]
[Verse 1]
Woke up this morning, sun was shining through my door
Got these heavy blues, can't take it anymore
I walked down to the crossroads, looking for a sign
Left all my worries and my troubles far behind
Ato 2: "Oh yeah!" (Crowd: "Tell the truth!").
[Verse 2]
My baby packed her bags, took my favorite pair of shoes (Crowd: Oh yeah!)
Left me standing here with nothing left to lose (Crowd: Tell the truth!)
The landlord's knocking, and my pockets are bone dry
Got a bottle of cheap whiskey, watching clouds go by (Crowd: Sing it!)
[Chorus]
Oh, the blues got a hold on me, tight as a chain
Dancing in the middle of the pouring rain
When I say "Lord have mercy," you say "Set me free!"
Lord have mercy! (Crowd: Set me free!)
Lord have mercy! (Crowd: Set me free!)
Ato 3: [Bridge]
[Bass and Drums only]
[Spoken Word]
Left side, right side, let's see who's got the soul tonight!
I got the blues in my head! (Crowd: In my head!)
I got the blues in my soul! (Crowd: In my soul!)
From the top of my hat! (Crowd: Top of my hat!)
To the bottom of my sole! (Crowd: Bottom of my sole!)
Ato 4:
Crowd:"Woo-woo!"
[Harmonica Solo] [Guitar Solo] [Crowd clapping and shouting Woo-woo!]
[Verse 3]
Hear that midnight train rolling down the steel track
Once you catch that rhythm, ain't no turning back
Feel the floor shaking, feel the temperature rise
Got that Friday night fire burning in our eyes
Ato 5: [Chorus]
Oh, the blues got a hold on me, tight as a chain
Dancing in the middle of the pouring rain
When I say "Lord have mercy," you say "Set me free!"
Lord have mercy! (Crowd: Set me free!)
[Outro](A cappella vocals with clapping]
Yeah, we chased the blues away tonight!
[Full Band Crash]
One more time! (Crowd: Set me free!)
[Big Blues Ending]
[Applause and Cheering]
