Solo piano étude built around a bright secondary dominant cadence. Starts sparse and transparent in the mid register, then grows into rich broken chords with left-hand stride figures and right-hand melodic ornaments. Dynamic arc from p to mf, brief dramatic swell near the middle, then a gentle unresolved fade that leaves the last chord hanging in the air.
