Darkness

Staring at the ceiling, questions on the wall,
why it always feels like nobody hears my call.
Smile on my face, but a storm inside,
heart beating too loud while the world just slides.

They say “be strong”, but they don’t see the weight,
that I carry every day with my past, my fate.
Every word too late, every hand too far,
if love was ever here, why’d it leave a scar?


I don’t love my life, but I’m still here though.
If nobody sees me, the light still burns,
I’m not giving up — I just wait my turn.


Silence talks to me in a broken tone,
whispers “you don’t matter, you’re better alone”.
But lies sound real when you’re tired and numb,
still I wake up breathing when the night is done.

Names fade out like photos in rain,
but maybe new colors come after the pain.
I’m no hero, just a worn-out soul,
felt too much pressure, lost too much control.
