He is Your Rest

Birds have their nest,
Wolves have their den
But Where can the Son of Man Lay His Head Down
Where can we too find our rest
as we wander through this world
with an unquenchable longing for a home
far beyond the measurement of space?
deep calls unto deep
in a devine frequency
that you can only hear
when your heart is still.
be still, then and listen.
listen, how His gentle voice invites us
to join Him in His groaning,
to step into His purpose,
to enjoy the certainty of His promise,
to bask in the abundance of His love,
to stand on the firm foundation of His Word,
to recieve the privilege in bearing our cross
in His name as we walk through this earth.
that - is your rest.
He is our rest
