Lyrics
[Extended Instrumental Intro]
[Driving rounded kick, rolling bass and crisp organic percussion]
[Arpeggio gradually opens]
[No vocals]
[Verse 1]
We came in carrying the day
All its noise still on our skin
Then the first drum found its way
And something opened up within
The room is moving like a river
Every face is catching light
No one standing on the outside
We are in this wave tonight
[Pre-Chorus]
Feel it rise
Feel it break
Every wall begins to shake
[Chorus]
This is the rush
This is the moment
Hearts in the air
And the floor wide open
This is the rush
Nothing can hold us
One beat, one wave
And the whole world knows us
[Instrumental Drop]
[Deep driving bass, African hand percussion, soaring arpeggios]
[No vocals]
[Verse 2]
Every step becomes a signal
Every hand becomes a flame
We don’t need to know each other
To be caught inside the same
Let the rhythm take the silence
Let it pull us into flight
When the drums begin to answer
We become the sound tonight
[Pre-Chorus]
Feel it rise
Feel it break
Every wall begins to shake
[Chorus]
This is the rush
This is the moment
Hearts in the air
And the floor wide open
This is the rush
Nothing can hold us
One beat, one wave
And the whole world knows us
[Extended Breakdown]
[Strip back to pads, pulsing bass and distant vocal layers]
[Gradually build with hand drums and rising synths]
[Bridge]
Higher, higher
We are weightless now
Closer, closer
Hear the thunder loud
Higher, higher
Let the feeling lead
One rhythm moving
Underneath our feet
[Final Chorus]
This is the rush
This is the moment
Hearts in the air
And the floor wide open
This is the rush
Nothing can hold us
One beat, one wave
And the whole world knows us
[Outro Hook]
This is the rush
This is the rush
One beat, one wave
And the whole world knows us
[Extended Instrumental Outro]
