(Verse 1)
Oh Nerevar, my trusted friend,
Once bound by blood, but now we rend,
The ties that held us, strong and true,
Now shattered in this fiery hue.
Arrayed in steel, you come to fight,
But have you lost your sacred light?
The Lords of Void call from afar,
And so we march, to endless war.
(Verse 2)
Upon Red Mountain, shadows creep,
Where Dwemer hearts no longer sleep.
The fortress high, with metal walls,
But even iron breaks and falls.
Nerevar’s queen and generals sly,
Drew Dumac’s armies to the sky.
And in the depths where secrets lie,
Nerevar met his doom and cried.
(Chorus)
Dagoth-Ur stood by his lord,
With Kagrenac's tools and power stored.
The Heart of Lorkhan, pulsing red,
The Dwemer turned to ash, all dead.
Nerevar’s heart weighed down with grief,
For even gods could find no relief.
Azura’s light shone through the gloom,
To sever ties and bring their doom.
(Verse 4)
But on the field, betrayal grew,
The Tribunal, with hearts untrue.
They whispered poison in the night,
To steal the Heart and claim its might.
Nerevar, deceived, was slain,
By those who sought immortal gain.
Azura wept, her wrath was loud,
And Chimer turned to ashen shroud.
(Verse 5)
The Dunmer born from cursed fate,
Their eyes of fire, hearts of hate.
But Dagoth-Ur would rise again,
To guard the Heart, his only friend.
The Tribunal gods, now false and cold,
With power stolen, stories untold.
Yet whispers of Nerevar’s return,
Through Morrowind's dark halls still burn.
(Chorus)
Dagoth-Ur stood by his lord,
With Kagrenac's tools and power stored.
The Heart of Lorkhan, pulsing red,
The Dwemer turned to ash, all dead.
Nerevar’s heart weighed down with grief,
For even gods could find no relief.
Azura’s light shone through the gloom,
To sever ties and bring their doom.
(Outro)
The time will come when gods shall fall,
And Nerevar will heed the call.
Azura’s curse upon them weighs,
Through endless nights and burning days.
For mortals do not grasp the pain,
Of stolen power, endless reign.
And when the dawn of reckoning comes,
The song of vengeance shall be sung.
