Oh, the Heat of Misery.

Taking a shower’s not enough,
Can’t understand this stuff.
The heat just keeps on growing,
The fan is broken, it’s showing,
It’s tough to find a cure,
I’m shedding all my clothes,
Sweating under my arms,
Feeling like a monkey, oh the charms!
It’s cruel to sleep in this heat,
I was born to feel defeat!
And when the night arrives,
Sleep is nowhere near my lives.
Oh, the heat of misery,
There are mosquitoes buzzing me.
Tangled up in my bed tight,
Oh, that devil's buzz tonight!
If those mosquitoes catch my skin,
They’ll drag me down, oh where have I been?
This is every day, you see,
Oh, this heat won’t let me be.
Even my Wi-Fi's melted down,
You’d think it’s not real; I wear a frown.
I’m sweating through this tale I share,
Confessing I’m in hell somewhere.
Long like a donkey's tail I feel—
This night is gonna be surreal!
Boy, this heat is way too strong,
No one can stay inside for long.
A fan on three won’t do the trick—
I’m feeling sick; it’s making me tick.
I’ll take a bath out in the yard;
Am I in Fortaleza or some place hard?
Four or five baths won’t ease this plight,
Feels like I’m at a workshop in hell tonight.
The midday sun’s so blazing bright,
It even hurts my eyes with light—
Dare I say you could fry a snack right there?
And when night falls again on me so drear,
I still can’t find that sleep so sweet;
Oh, the heat of misery—what a feat!
Tangled up in sheets again tight,
Those buzzing bugs will haunt me all night.
