Paroles
Well, last Saturday night down at Joe's bar,
Me and the boys, yeah, we took it too far,
Shootin' whiskey, chasin’ beers,
Doin' dumb stuff we ain't done in years.
Jimmy thought he was tough, started a fight
With a jukebox ‘cause it gave him bad advice.
Bobby hit on a girl he knew since third grade,
But turns out she was married yesterday
Oh, whiskey, you’re a wild ride,
Makes a man think he's ten feet high.
But when you can't see straight and the lights go dim,
You’ll fall for anything after 2 a.m.
We do stupid things, we all make mistakes,
But we ain't tryin' to change the way the good Lord made.
And that last mistake, well, you can't undo,
Messed around with someone that ain’t like you.
So later on, Joe starts lookin’ real fine,
In his boots and his dress, dancin’ right in line.
Boys all cheerin’, throwin’ back their shots,
I winked and thought, "Man, why not?"
Well, the lights came on, and I took a glance,
Turns out Joe’s not quite what I thought at first glance.
Now I’m backpedalin’, tryin' to make it right,
But they’re laughin’, sayin’, “Man, it’s all part of the night!”
Oh, whiskey, you’re a wild ride,
Makes a man think he's ten feet high.
But when you can't see straight and the lights go dim
