Text
[Instrumental Intro]
[Verse 1 — Male]
The city lights are turning gold
The night is warm, the air is slow
I felt the rhythm in my chest
Before your shadow crossed the room
You looked at me, the world grew still
One quiet spark became a flame
No need to ask where this will go
Your eyes already know my name
[Pre-Chorus — Male]
Come a little closer
Let the silence disappear
Every beat is drawing us
A little more from here
[Chorus — Duet]
Closer than the tide
Pulling us together
Closer than the night
Moving like forever
When your hand finds mine
All the stars awaken
Closer than the tide
There’s no heart worth saving
From this love we’re making
[Post-Chorus — Duet]
Oh-oh, closer
Oh-oh, into the blue
Oh-oh, closer
I’m coming back to you
[Instrumental Groove]
[Verse 2 — Female]
I used to keep my feelings safe
Behind a door I never showed
But something in the way you move
Has opened up a softer road
The moon is resting on your skin
The drums are speaking underneath
I let the moment carry me
And feel your heartbeat next to me
[Pre-Chorus — Female]
Come a little closer
Let the distance disappear
Every beat is drawing us
A little more from here
[Chorus — Duet]
Closer than the tide
Pulling us together
Closer than the night
Moving like forever
When your hand finds mine
All the stars awaken
Closer than the tide
There’s no heart worth saving
From this love we’re making
[Dance Break]
[Bridge — Male and Female]
[Male] If morning finds us changed
[Female] Let it find us side by side
[Male] We don’t need to name this feeling
[Female] We can let it be our guide
[Duet]
Through the rhythm, through the blue
Every road leads back to you
[Final Chorus — Duet]
Closer than the tide
Pulling us together
Closer than the night
Moving like forever
When your hand finds mine
All the stars awaken
Closer than the tide
There’s no heart worth saving
From this love we’re making
[Outro — Duet]
Oh-oh, closer
Oh-oh, into the blue
Oh-oh, closer
I’m coming back to you

Premium passionate Afro House with organic house influences, 122 BPM. A clear male and female vocal duet. Both singers must have a distinct, natural African English accent and warm African vocal tone. Male singer performs the first verse; female singer performs the second verse; both singers clearly join together in the chorus, with distinct male and female voices easy to hear. Keep the African accents prominent and consistent throughout the song. Passionate, soulful, expressive delivery with strong chemistry between the singers. Deep rolling bass, hypnotic tribal percussion, layered hand drums, crisp shakers, warm organic textures, subtle marimba and kalimba plucks, atmospheric synth pads. Start intimate and seductive, then build into a fiery, joyful dancefloor groove. No American or British accents, no solo vocalist, no rap, no spoken intro, no EDM-pop drop.
