Text
A double bass is the lonely heart of an orchestra.
It plays in tune and rhythm as a tree in group in a forest.
It beats its deep sound solemnly pretending to be a star.
It's almost like a lady sex worker showing herself in a bar.
She puts on discreet makeup and shows herself adorned
in the dim light in salons avoiding applauses, well informed.
Sometimes she's so discreet that she goes unnoticed.
Only those seeking casual love perceive her the noblest.
They are the ones who pass by and feel more than they see. More than they see.
They never applaud. They never greet. Nor do they ask for an encore, as it be.
They feel a greater calling deep in their hearts. As if it were a bird that sings in a forest.
That's why the double bass is solemn in its importance in any orchestra.
The sound touches our souls, deep within us, as if we were in renassance.
Because it only touches and touches the deepest conscience as in a dance.
The conscience of those who love music and feel it wandering
in their innermost being. Almost as if it were there receiving
The visit of another soul into one's own soul. Soul to soul.
It's beautiful and important. But, it's not a sex worker. It means soul.
It's only the visit of a soul to another soul. Soul music as soul.
Knock, knock, knock. Who is that? Do you know?
Just the double bass chords visiting your soul.
Dong, ding, dong, dong, ding, dong, visiting your soul.
Dong, ding, dong, dong, ding, dong, visiting your soul.
Knock, knock, knock. Who is that? Do you know?
Just the double bass chords visiting your soul.
Dong, ding, dong, dong, ding, dong, visiting your soul.
Dong, ding, dong, dong, ding, dong, visiting your soul.
