In the smoke I hear the drums,
Beating from the bones of suns.
Ancient voices, whispers rise,
Calling from the fire-lit skies.

Bare feet on the sacred ground,
Heartbeat is the only sound.
Eyes roll back, the spirit flows,
Into the wind where the shadow goes.

Ghost power — running through my veins,
Rising like thunder in the pouring rains.
I don't walk, I ride the storm,
Born of ashes, wild and warm.

Ghost power — fire in my chest,
Guided by the howl from the eagle's nest.
I am more than flesh and hour...

Painted face and broken name,
Dancing in the smoke and flame.
I see what the eyes can't find,
The world beyond the waking mind.

The dead are close, the spirits near.
